SHIPPING/RECEIVING CLERK (Req 24 031)

Department: Program Management Contract
Location: St. Inigoes, MD

Responsibilities: Perform clerical and physical tasks associated with the receipt and shipment of material and equipment. Shipping duties involve comparing items and quantities gathered for shipment against request for shipment documents; ensuring items are properly packaged; loading items into transporting vehicles through use of forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment; and preparing and keeping records of goods shipped. Receiving duties involve verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities uploaded against bills of lading, invoices or other records; checking for damaged goods, staging equipment and material for shipment; and preparing and keeping records of items received. Property accountability duties involve tagging equipment with appropriate tags.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Two (2) years’ work experience in material handling, warehouse, receiving, and shipping operations. All candidates must be able to lift items weighing up to forty (40) pounds.

Other: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Forklift certification strongly desired. Hourly rate: $20.09 plus Health & Welfare benefits
