Responsibilities: Support the development of communication products, incorporate F-35 Program strategy in to Joint Program Office (JPO) internal and external communications and ensure consistent communications with senior external stakeholders, including Congress, the Department of Defense, Services, Partners, Customers, the media, and the public. The incumbent will support the development and execution of F-35 Program strategic communications through the development of written products that will be incorporated in: stakeholder-requested output; planned periodic output; JPO internal workforce communications; strategic messaging; and/or, messaging and media engagements surrounding F-35 Program activities by:
Education: MS or MA degree from an accredited university in Journalism, Communications, Business, Management, or a degree relevant to the position.
Allowable Substitution: A BS or BA degree from an accredited university and an additional four (4) years of experience.
Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in DoD or corporate communications, public affairs, and/or strategic communications. Relevant experience in public affairs and/or strategic communications in a fast-paced, international, technically complex, and defense-related environment. Work experience should include content strategy, planning, writing, and content management from research to publication with work samples available for review. Exceptional writing, listening, planning, critical thinking, project management and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to convey highly complex information in a clear, concise and compelling fashion with work samples available for review. Exceptional oral, interpersonal, and briefing skills and the ability to effectively work with leadership team. Track record of designing, developing, and writing internal and external communications in support of a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP) or major consumer technology industry. Ability to handle competing priorities in a high-pressure environment with minimal supervision and without losing sight of the strategic intent. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products to specifically include: Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook.
