BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (Req 24 052)

Department: Executive
Location: California, MD

Responsibilities: Provide business development and strategic planning support within the Washington DC metropolitan area by developing and maintaining relationships with current and potential customers and industry partners. Apply experience and current knowledge of DoD initiatives and activities to identify and pursue strategic new business opportunities. Perform market research and analysis; participate in Industry Days, conferences, and symposiums; and support customer engagement and teaming interactions. Develop and deliver presentations to communicate capabilities and recommended solutions to address customer requirements. Identify strategies and solutions to lead proposal development efforts such as writing technical proposals, corporate experience, and capabilities documents.

Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited institution as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in Business or Technical Field Required

Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in a Military or Civilian leadership role with a strong Navy background. Expert knowledge of a wide range of Government agencies to include the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, NAVSEA, and NAVAIR

Robust network of current contacts within the defense sector to include Government officials and industry leaders. Extensive experience serving on source selection or proposal review teams. Familiarity with the Federal acquisition process. Excellent written and oral communication skills

Other: An Active DoD Secret Clearance is required. A Top Secret Clearance is preferred.

Wage Range Information: This full-time position’s wage range is $135K 0 $155K (salary) depending on experience and qualifications.

Benefits Information: We offer a generous benefits package including a 401k with employer match. Full time employees are also eligible for family medical, dental and vision benefits; as well as ancillary benefits including life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance; short- and long-term disability; flexible spending accounts; long-term care insurance; and accident, hospital, and critical illness insurance. Full-time employees are also eligible for 2 weeks’ vacation leave accrual per year (this accrual increase as tenure with company increases), 7 days sick leave, 11 paid holidays, with additional leave time available for bereavement, jury duty, and military training days throughout the year.
