Responsibilities: Support a wide range of system development, planning, and analytical functions in alignment with organizational goals and strategic direction. Coach Agile principles and practices, and lead Agile events in the development of hardware and/or software systems. Lead configuration management (CM) of systems under development, manage collection of Objective Quality Evidence (OQE), and attend technical meetings and manage Agile, CM and OQE process artifacts. Responsibilities include:
Act as the team's servant leader and Scrum facilitator, responsible for ensuring the Agile process is understood, adopted, and executed effectively. Lead all Scrum events: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure all ceremonies are productive and kept within their timebox. Coach the team in Scrum principles, practices, and values to help them achieve their highest potential. Foster an environment of open communication, collaboration, and constructive feedback. Support and empower the team, shielding them from external interruptions and distractions.
Proactively identify, track, and facilitate the removal of any impediments blocking the team's progress. Report on team-level metrics like velocity and burn-down to help the team monitor its progress. Guide the team in continuous process improvement based on insights from retrospectives and metrics.
Responsible for supporting and executing all configuration management (CM) processes, with a specific focus on capturing Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) and managing golden images. Execute the established process for capturing and storing OQE for all configuration items. Ensure that OQE is consistently and accurately captured and is readily available for audits and reviews. Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and traceability of all captured OQE.
Maintain and execute the process for creating, validating, and managing "golden images" for all approved software versions. Verify that all deployed systems are in alignment with the CM-approved golden images. Manage the lifecycle of golden images, including documentation, updates, and secure retirement.
Operate the configuration control process to track and manage all proposed changes to the system baseline. Ensure all approved changes are thoroughly documented and the configuration management database (CMDB) is kept current. Conduct and support regular audits to ensure 100% compliance with established configuration management policies.
Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering, computer, or software-related field from an accredited institution as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Experience: Seven (7) years of experience in managing systems development (hardware and/or software) using Agile principles. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes are required, including: Leading Scrum events (planning, reviews, and retrospectives) and ceremonies; Teaching Agile/SCRUM principles and practices; Process Improvement and Burn-Down reporting; Configuration Management (CM) and Objective Quality Evidence (OQE)/Golden Image Management. Three (3) years of experience in supporting U.S. Navy programs or operations is desired.
Other: An Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
