LOGISTICS/CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT FLEET MODERNIZATION SME (Req 24 051)

Department: Program Management Contract
Location: St. Inigoes, MD

Responsibilities: Directly support the Combat Integration and Identification Systems Division (CI&IDS) located in Saint Inigoes, MD (NAWCAD-WOLF), through researching and managing Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) solutions and guidance in support of the U.S. Navy’s Fleet Modernization Program (FMP) for the AN/UPX-29(V) Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) system and standalone IFF systems. Assist the division with navigating the complex processes and procedures of the Fleet Modernization Program to successfully accomplish US Navy shipboard installations.

Tasking will include the following:

  1. Reading and interpreting Ship Change Documents (SCD) for a wide variety of alterations performed on DDG’s (Destroyers), CG’s (Cruisers), LCS’s (Littoral Combat Ships), CVN’s (Carriers), and plenty of others.
  2. Leveraging Alteration Installation Team (AIT) knowledge and experience to inform the development of ILS Certifications, ILS Checklists, Configuration Data Management Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) documentation and Model Based Product Support (MBPS) work packages.
  3. Applying superior planning and organizational skills to support Alteration Installation Teams (AIT) with checking into and out of Regional Modernization and Maintenance Center Offices (RMMCO) in accordance with NAVSEA Technical Specification 9090.310H.
  4. Communicating with Project Management, AIT leads, and government customers in a professional manner.
  5. Teaching and supporting project leads and AIT leads regarding ILS Configuration processes with a positive attitude and an eye towards investing in the future of our expanding company.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Allowable Substitution: Associate’s Degree and at least six (6) years of related experience or High School Diploma and at least 8 years of related experience.

Experience: At least four (4) years of related experience. Ability to read and interpret ship installation drawings, field change instructions, and Ship Change Documents. Experience with RMMCO AIT check-in/out processes in accordance with Fleet Modernization Program requirements. Prior experience managing ILS Configuration processes in accordance with TS9090.310H. Knowledge and experience with ISO 9000 standards. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of Model Based Program Support (MBPS) system required.

Wage Range Information: This full-time position’s wage range is $95,000 - $120,000 (salary) depending on experience and qualifications. Telework/Remote/Hybrid arrangement may be available for this position.
