ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN V (Req 18 112)

Department: Program Management Contract
Location: Pearl Harbor, HI

Responsibilities: Perform system initialization, system configuration, operations and diagnostics actions, and system maintenance actions specific to each Area Control System (ACS) system in accordance with the proper instruction manual. Maintain Equipment Maintenance Logs. Perform system operational tests, diagnostics testing, removal and replacement of lowest replaceable units for ACS systems in accordance with the proper instruction manual. Record all system maintenance actions.

Education: AS or AA degree from an accredited university in electronics or engineering technology

Allowable Substitution: High school diploma or equivalent plus two additional years of experience in automated Air Traffic Control (ATC) surveillance systems above the experience required for this position.

Experience: At least fourteen (14) years of practical experience in electronics or engineering technology. Eight (8) years of experience, to include: installation of such equipment. Four (4) years of experience, to include: design, preparation and modification of engineering documents, and drawings. Eight (8) years of experience in automated Air Traffic Control (ATC) surveillance systems with one year of specific FACSFAC/IRSS experience preferred, of which 5 must have been performed within the last 7 years. Experience may be concurrent.

Other: Must be CompTia Security + level (IAT Level III Certification) certified or obtain certification within 6 months of hire. An Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
